Russia-Ukraine War: Russian troops attacks Ukrainian nuclear plant

Europe’s biggest nuclear power plant, the Zaporizhzhia facility in Ukraine, was on fire after a Russian attack on Friday morning.

“Russian army is firing from all sides upon Zaporizhzhia NPP, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe,” the foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, informed via Twitter. “Fire has already broke out.”

“If it blows up, it will be 10 times larger than Chornobyl! Russians must IMMEDIATELY cease the fire, allow firefighters, establish a security zone!, ” said foreign minister.

Russia and Ukraine agreed on the need for humanitarian corridors and a possible ceasefire around them for fleeing civilians, their first sign of agreement on any issue since the war began.
