Pakistan 3 Times Terrorizing Than Syria: GTTI

London:  A report titled “Humanity at Risk – Global Terror Threat Indicant (GTTI)” published by Oxford University and Strategic Foresight Group (SFG) has stated that Pakistan poses three times more terror risk to humanity that Syria.

While the Afghan Taliban and the Lashkar-e-Taiba pose the maximum threat to international security, Pakistan is on the top of the list of countries with the highest number of terrorist bases and safe havens.

The over 80-page report prepared to discuss security challenges in the next decade presents an analytical framework for policymakers to tackle terrorism.

GTTI has analyzed some 200 groups actively involved in committing acts of terror in the first half decade of the 21st century. And in the last five years, ISIS has attracted much of media. Yet Al-Qaeda remains the most resilient network as since 2011 Osama’s son, Hamza bin Osama bin Laden has emerged, as the “new crown prince of terror”.

The support from states, intelligence agencies, and criminal networks will determine the future of these terror groups.
