Over 28 injured in earthquake in Iran, tremors felt in Kutch in Gujarat

Gujarat: Over 28 people were injured in a 5.2-magnitude earthquake that shaked the Bojnurd County in the Iranian province of North Khorasan on Sunday. Tremors were also felt in Kutch in Gujarat.

According to the Iranian seismology center, The quake happened  at 16:13 local time at a depth of 8 km including  four foreshocks, two tremors of magnitudes 4.7 and 4.1 in the same country. Over 28 people has been  injured in the  earthquake, many of them have suffered fractures and mental trauma. 18 of them are receiving primary treatment. The others are under medical care. All the health officials, rapid reaction teams have been alerted to stay prepared.

Meanwhile Gujurat felt the aftereffects of the powerful earthquake happened in Iran next day. A tremor of 3.3 magnitude has hit Gujarat’s Kutch district on Monday morning at 10.05 am. Fortunately no injuries and lost properties has been reported till now.

As per the ISR data, This is the fourth tremor with more than 3 magnitude of this month that Gujurat’s Saurashtra-Kutch region have witnessed so far.
