Jalgaon (Maharashtra): Mortal remains of Indian pilgrims who died in Nepal bus accident have been brought back to India said reports on Sunday.
On the mortal remains of Indian pilgrims killed in Nepal road accident brought back, Union Minister Raksha Khadse said to ANI, “A bus veered off the highway and fell into a ditch yesterday, around 11 in the morning… We have brought the mortal remains through aircraft after postmortem.”
She further said, “The medical staff is there for the convenience of the 16 people who have been admitted there. The Indian Embassy and the Nepal government are working together on this mission, and the medical team there has supported us a lot. Around 92-95 total passengers went to Nepal.”
On August 23, at least 14 people have been killed as an Indian passenger bus carrying 40 passengers plunged into the Marsyangdi river in Nepal’s Tanahun district, police informed.
The bus bearing Uttar-Pradesh number plate was reportedly enroute to Kathmandu from Pokhara when the mishap took place. The bus bearing number plate UP FT 7623 plunged into the river and is lying on the bank of the river, confirmed DSP Deepkumar Raya.
