Man granted divorce after wife demands money for sex, Know full details

Taiwan: A Taiwanese man has been granted divorce after his wife demanded cash from her husband every time he wished to have sex with her.

According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the couple, identified as Hao and Xuan, tied the knot in 2014 and had two children.

The man claimed he has filed for divorce from his wife Xuan in the year 2021, when Xuan demanded USD 15 (Approx Rs 1,200) each time he wanted to have sex or even talk to her. Later, he withdrew the lawsuit after Xuan promised to work on their marriage and registered their property in her name.

However, the couple’s relationship continued to be toxic. The husband again filed for divorce this year and said that they have not spoken to each other for two years and have only been speaking to each other through a messaging app when they needed to.

The man said that the wife informed their relatives that the husband was “too fat” and “incompetent”.

The couple had also tried marriage counselling but that did not help. The court granted divorce to the couple as they found their relationship  to be cold and difficult to fix.

However, the wife did not want the divorce and hence, filed an appeal in the higher court which was later rejected.

Similarly, in 2014, a wife charged her husband NT$2,000 (US$60) for sex and also charged a fee for chats and meals in Taiwan.

The wife said that she charged her husband  who was a truck driver  because he did not make any financial contribution to the family.
