Kids have close call as rocks crash down at popular Utah waterfall
Kids escape rockfall in Utah as large boulders crash down near families at Lower Calf Creek Falls. Officials urge visitors to stay alert.
Utah: In a shocking incident, a group of visitors narrowly escaped getting hurt when large rocks suddenly fell near them at a waterfall in Utah. The incident happened on June 24 at Lower Calf Creek Falls.
A video shows people swimming and relaxing when a huge chunk of rock breaks off from the cliff above and crashes into the water just few feet away.
As per the reports, no one was injured, but the close call led the parks officials to warn people to be extra careful.
Officials explained that the cliffs above the waterfall can drop rocks far from the edge which means that the falling rocks can reach swimmers and people on the shore.
Last year, another person was reported to be hurt by a falling rock at the same spot and had to be flown to a hospital.
Since then, safety checks have been happening often to help protect visitors. People are asked to stay alert to ensure a safe experience.
