India-Russia To Sign S-400 Air Defence Deal During Putin’s 2-Day India Visit

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit New Delhi on October 4 and 5 to take part in the 19th Annual Bilateral Summit that is organised alternatively between Russia and India.

During the summit, both the countries will sign key agreements, including the multi-billion-dollar S-400 ‘Triumf’ surface-to-air missile system which will be the key highlight of the programme. According to Russian authorities, the value of the contract will be more than 5 billion.

Besides, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Russian counterpart will discuss strategies to improve the strategic partnership between both the countries and exchange opinions on current global as well as regional issues.

Putin and Modi will also take part in the Russian-Indian Business Forum and meet with students of the Russian Sirius educational centre and talented children from India. Vladimir Putin will also meet with President Ram Nath Kovind during his two-day visit to New Delhi.
