First time in 18 years! 5 planets are converging in a planetary procession

‘Conjunction’ is a term used by astronomers to describe the alignment of three planets. This is a typical occurrence that frequently takes place. But the alignment of five planets is an uncommon occurrence. Such a rare planetary procession is happening after 18 years.

According to the sources, since the planets would be aligned with the sun in their current order, the event would be even more amazing. In the early morning sky on Saturday, the planets were already visible, although they were fragmenting. However, NASA has stated that by September, two of these planets won’t be visible in the morning sky anymore.

The planet’s alignment has already begun, but one can still see it in June over the Eastern horizon. The optimum time to witness the alignment, though if you don’t have a telescope, would be this morning between 3:39 and 4:43.

Saturn ascended last night for New Yorkers at approximately 11:21 p.m. Mars, Venus, and Mercury rose at 1:44 am, 3:33 am, and 4:11 am, respectively. After this, Jupiter rose at 1:05 am. As a result, even without a telescope, all the planets are visible in the early sky. The spectacle can be seen an hour before sunrise if there are no clouds.

The planets that are aligning are Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. East and South would have the lowest and highest planets, respectively.

Mercury used to be the most challenging planet to see. Mercury gets brighter and easier to see as it rises higher, though. The lineup of the five different planets has now been finished.

According to scientists, the next alignment won’t happen until 2040. Therefore this alignment would last the entire month of June. Therefore this is a unique opportunity that no space fan should pass up.
