Fire breaks out at Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi, Trading suspended

All trading at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) was suspended on Monday after a major fore erupted at the 4th floor of the building in Karachi. No causalities have been reported yet.

Following the fire, the trading activity was temporarily suspended for two hours until 12:25 pm local tim and all traders were evacuated outside of the building.

Fire brigade vehicles soon reached the spot and managed to extinguish the flames while trading activity has been delayed. Later the situation was brought under control and all the employees were allowed to return to office.

The exchange announced on its website that trading was paused at 10:25 am (0525 GMT) and would restart at 12:25 pm (0725 GMT).
