Complete shutdown of all petrol and diesel pumps in Islamabad has been ordered by the Government of Pakistan till further orders

Islamabad: Complete shutdown of all petrol and diesel filling stations in Islamabad has been ordered within the capital city for the next 48 hours, the directive was given today.

The official notification did not cite any reason for the severe measure. It is worth mentioning that the Indian Air Force targeted four Pakistani airbases in an overnight attack.

This closure of petrol pumps in Islamabad shall be effective immediately. It further means that petrol or diesel will be given to private vehicles, public transport, or commercial vehicles within Islamabad.

It is worth mentioning here that, after Pakistan attempted to attack multiple cities in Northern India using drones, the Ministry of Civil Aviation on Friday extended the closure of 32 airports across the country until 15 May morning from 10 May.

A senior government official confirmed that after a meeting with other stakeholders, the decision has been taken and airlines and airport authorities have been informed about it.
