Georgia: In a horrifying incident, eight people including four Asian women were shot dead at a massage parlour and two day spas in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday, 17 March and a suspected was arrested hours later in southern Georgia, police said.
Reports said, two of the shootings took place at spas opposite each other, while another took place at a spa in a different part of the city.
Four victims were killed and another was wounded in a shooting on Tuesday afternoon at Young’s Asian Massage in Cherokee County, north of Atlanta.
On being informed, the police officers in Atlanta, responded to a call of a robbery in progress and arrived at a beauty spa and found three women shot dead, said, Police Chief Rodney Bryant.
At least four Asian women have been shot dead at two day spas across the street from each other in Atlanta, and police said they were searching for at least one suspect.
Later, a man suspected of carrying out all the attacks in the Atlanta area has been taken into custody.
The arrested man has been identified as Robert Aaron Long, 21, of Woodstock in Cherokee County.
