Stockholm: Passengers onboard an Air India flight had a close shave when the aircraft hit a building at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm. The tip of the plane’s left wing was seen stuck on the side of the building wall.
The Boeing flight, which originated from New Delhi, had 176 passengers onboard. All of them disembarked from the plane on a mobile staircase and thereafter entered the terminal.
The accident took place about 50 meters from Terminal 5, the main terminal for international flights. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. Fire Trucks were rushed to the spot.
Notably, the incident comes days after a Dubai bound Air India flight with 136 passengers had an emergency landing at Mumbai Airport after hitting a perimeter wall during take-off from Tiruchirapally Airport.
