Texas: There has been a major accident in Texas involving a goods train. As many as 35 bogies of a train has been derailed in Texas. It is further reported that the train was transporting hazardous material

Reports say that the derailment took place in North-Central Texas, however no injuries have been reported. The incident occurred in Palo Pinto County, located 100 miles west of Dallas.

The local hazmat teams and large fire response crew  have reached the site and are staging for the removal of the toxic materials from the tankers. The visuals of the scene have gone viral on social media. They show piles of bogies with hazardous material strewn everywhere.

It is worth mentioning here that, an official warning has been issued saying that the train may have been carrying hazardous chemicals. Reports further added that, smoke and flames have been seen in the area.

The cause of derailment however is yet to be ascertained. Authorities have cautioned the residents nearby not to venture too close to the crash site as there are fears of an explosion. Further detailed reports awaited in this regard.
