3 earthquakes strike Pakistan, New Guinea, Xizang on Tuesday morning

Three separate earthquakes jolted Pakistan, Xichang, and New Guinea during the early hours of Tuesday, as reported NCS.

Three separate earthquakes jolted Pakistan, Xichang, and New Guinea during the early hours of Tuesday, as reported by the National Centre of Seismology (NCS).

An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 jolted Pakistan during the early morning hours of November 28. The quake was reported by the National Centre of Seismology. As per reports from the NCS, the Pakistan earthquake took place at 03:38 hours (IST) on Tuesday.

The earthquake originated at a latitude of 34.66 North and a longitude of 73.51 East. The epicentre is located approximately 10 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface.

In a post on X, the NCS wrote, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.2, Occurred on 28-11-2023, 03:38:03 IST, Lat: 34.66 & Long: 73.51, Depth: 10 Km ,Location: Pakistan.”

Meanwhile, two other earthquakes of magnitude 5.0 and 6.5 struck Xizang and New Guinea respectively.

The Xichang earthquake of 5.0 magnitude took place at 03:45 hours (IST) at a depth of 140 km. Further, the 6.5 magnitude earthquake took place at 03:16 hours (IST) at a depth of 10 km. Both the quakes took place minutes within the tremors were felt in Pakistan.
