12 killed in California mass shooting

California: At least 12 persons including a sheriff’s deputy were killed and more than 10 others were injured when a gunman burst into a crowded country and western dance hall in Thousand Oaks in California tossing smoke grenades and firing dozens of rounds late on Wednesday night.

The accused shooter was also found dead inside the bar. However, he is yet to be identified.

According to available information, the accused, wielding a handgun and dressed in black, stormed into the bar fired 30 shots at the crowd in Borderline Bar and Grill, which is about 40 miles west of Los Angeles.

While the injured victims have been admitted to the hospital, police are yet to identify the reason behind the firing.
