Women’s day 2025: know the history and significance
Women have always been the source of inspiration, knowledge, strength and freedom. Life without women is said to be next to impossible.
Since, ancient ages we have seen the miracles that a woman has done to the society. And, maybe this is why women need to be celebrated not just on a single day but every day in our lives.
Since, 20th century we have seen changes in the lives of women. They no longer restrict themselves to the four walls inside the house, but rather tale part in the society. We have also seen women becoming the greatest examples of inspiration who come forward and have set path for other women.
During the Russian revolution, to commemorate the women empowerment and to celebrate the equal voting rights, Vladmir Lenin announced March 8 as a holiday to celebrate, women empowerment. It has been observed since early 1900’s, during the time of change and revolution.
The world widely celebrates and honour’s this day as a tribute to women in every form and field. Women, have always been the epitome of knowledge, strength, valor and grace. They are also celebrated in the form of faith and worshipped as goddesses.
In India, women are given the title of goddess, people worship women empowerment and women strength. Goddesses like, Laxmi, Durga and Kali have always been the stories of strength and valor.
It is said that a woman can handle every pain and suffering yet no one can defeat her. she is always the epitome of grace and valor. but, our country has always underestimated this and have tortured women and sometimes even to death.
From sati pratha, to women being first in line and leading the world. From women staying within the four walls of the house to women ruling every field of occupation.
Women have come a long way and have stood against the leap of time. they have showed that with determination and zeal a woman can attain heights while creating a home for its family.This women’s day let’s promise to celebrate women’s strength every single day!
