Create device-free zones at home To give an interesting twist, parents can create a few device-free zones at home where everyone, including children must keep their phones or other electronic devices away. This could be during family meals or gathering in the evening.

Try gardening When not at school, children often tend to spend hours on their electronic devices, watching films or surfing the internet. Parents can make them get involved in some outdoor activities like gardening. With the parents in company, the kids are likely to be more engaged and interested in learning.

Encourage reading Many children have found an interest in reading online books, which eventually adds to their screen time.
