New Mini Cooper John Cooper Works petrol launched


The new Mini Copper hatchback has got a new John Cooper Works version. The new Mini Cooper JCW is based on the new Cooper and sits atop the range as the most performance-oriented version.

Mini unveiled the new Cooper in India a few months ago. The price of the new Mini Cooper version ranges from £31,200 (Rs 33.91 lakh) in the UK

The Cooper JCW version features a blacked out front grille, which carries a mini John Cooper Works logo that is in three-colours. It is offered in both 17-inch or optional 18-inch alloy wheels. Other JCW characteristic features include unique JCW specific LED DRLs

The new Mini JCW makes use of the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine as the standard Cooper, however, has been uprated to produce 231hp and 380Nm of peak torque – 27hp and 80Nm higher than the standard hatch.
