JSW MG Motor is planning to launch the Comet Blackstorm Edition in India soon. According to the company, the new edition Comet will feature a revised exterior design and will boast additional equipment.
Like the other Blackstorm Editions’ , it will feature an all-black exterior with red accents on the exterior. The front bumper skid plates, fog lamp surrounds, wheel caps, and side cladding will feature the signature red accents. The upcoming Comet Blackstorm gets equipment similar to the ‘Blackstorm Editions’ we have seen.
Apart from this, the compact car will sport the ‘Morris Garages’ branding in a red font on the front. Moreover, the EV gets an exclusive badge on the front fender.
You already know about the Blackstorm Editions of the MG Gloster, Hector, and ZS EV launched earlier. The Comet Blackstorm’s cabin will also get similar changes. The interior will boast leatherette seats along with a unique branding.
The feature list will match the existing variants with four speakers, among other features. In terms of its powertrain, it continues to be powered by a 17.4kWh prismatic cell battery.
MG Motor India has increased the prices of the Comet EV from the start of the new year 2025. The Comet EV range has become pricier by Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 32,000 than before.

This car will come at a price that is still reasonable. The standard Comet EV is priced between Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 9.65 lakh. The special features and Blackstorm design added to the Blackstorm edition make it likely to be in excess of those prices.
The MG Comet EV Blackstorm will feature the same 17.4 kWh prismatic cell battery of the standard Comet EV. It would offer an average range of 230 kilometers with a single charge, suitable for city travel. The power delivery is at 41.42 bhp with a torque of 110 Nm. Thus, these values ensure the Comet EV to drive smoothly and efficiently.
