Gukesh beat China's Ding Liren in the 14th and final game to clinch victory
He also become the 2nd Indian to win the championship, after Viswanathan Anand
Gukesh Dommaraju also wraps up a phenomenal 2024 with the victory
He adds the world chess championship to his existing 2024 wins of the Candidates tournament and Chess Olympiad gold medal
Taking about prize money, victory in each game of the world chess championship was worth $200,000 ( approximately Rs 1.69 crore)
Gukesh bagged three games and took home a whopping total of $600,000 ( approximately Rs 5.07 crore)
