Apple iPhone 17 line-up to launch next year: Here are the 5 big upgrades to lookout for

The latest iPhone series- which will be Apple iPhone 17 has started appearing in rumours following the launch of the iPhone 16 series. Now, we have got a new report on iPhone 17 Air, which is said to replace the Plus model in the iPhone series. As per rumours, the Apple iPhone 17 Air might make its debut in September 2025.

The company is said to make this move due to the lowest it registers in the current iteration. Prior to this, the iPhone 17 Air is rumoured to be launched as iPhone 17 Slim. As the name suggests, the device is expected to arrive with a very slim build.

Reports have indicated that iPhone 17 Air could measure around 6 mm. The suggestion was made by a note by the Hong Kong-based investment bank Haitong.

The iPhone 17 series is expected to get four devices i.e. iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The iPhone 17 Slim will replace the iPhone 17 Plus. Both the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim will get 120Hz and LTPO.

Young has mentioned that that iPhone 17 will get 120 Hz refresh rate and an LTPO OLED panel. This means that the refresh rate will be down to very low rates (even 1Hz). This is a big thing for the iPhone non pro models because the higher refresh rate is restricted to the Pro models.

The iPhone 17 Slim may have a 6.6-inch screen, which would make it slightly smaller than the iPhone Plus and iPhone Pro Max, according to the Apple.

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max might get under display Face ID. This means that there will be only a single hole at the top of the display. The design will be quite similar to the Android smartphones from Google as well as Samsung. If Apple adopts an under display Face ID for its upcoming Pro devices, there might be no dynamic Island or a different dynamic island.
