A look at players to watch out for during IPL retention list announcement

Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders): Iyer led KKR to their third title and first one in a decade this year. In 14 innings, he scored 351 runs at an average of 39.00, with two fifties. His best score was 58*. But despite his heroics, he is reportedly not in the retention list of KKR.

KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants):  KL, who has led LSG since the team's IPL debut in 2022, has been under scrutiny for his strike rate since quite some time. He is reportedly not in LSG's retention plans. Last season, he scored 520 runs in 14 matches at an average of 37.14, with four half-centuries. His strike rate of 136.13.

Rishabh Pant (Delhi Capitals):  The 'Heart and Soul' of the DC franchise, Pant was the top scorer of the side in his comeback season this year after a life-threatening road accident. He scored 446 runs in 13 matches at an average of 40.54, with four half-centuries. His strike rate was 155.40 and best score was 88*.

David Miller (Gujarat Titans): With GT reportedly set to retain Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan, Miller might not feature in franchise's future plans. It comes after three fine seasons for the franchise, including the 2022 title win. He scored 950 runs in 41 matches and 38 innings, at an average of 45.24, with three half-centuries and best score of 94*.

Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals):  Buttler is reportedly not in retention plans for Rajasthan Royals. He is one of the most decorated players of the franchise. In 83 matches, he has scored 3,055 runs at an average of 41.85, with seven centuries and 18 fifties. Last season, he had an up and down tournament, with 359 runs in 11 matches at an average of 39.89, with two centuries and best score of 107*.

Andre Russell (Kolkata Knight Riders):  Andre Russell is one of the biggest stars of KKR and their constant in their success stories over the years. Playing since 2014, he has racked up 2,426 runs and 114 wickets for KKR. Last season, he scored 222 runs in nine innings with a strike rate of 185.00 and a fifty and took 19 wickets. However, he is not in KKR's retention plans reportedly.
