Protest over CBSE Class XII resultsBhubaneswar: A day after a team from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) arrived in Bhubaneswar to address grievances of students who have reported discrepancies in the evaluation of Class XII board examinations, affected students and parents continued their protest in front of the CBSE regional office here on Thursday.

The students are demanding re-evaluation of answer sheets by the Board. On Wednesday, a team consisting of Deputy Secretary, CBSE D.K. Goyal and Examination Controller K.K Choudhury had informed that since there is no re-evaluation system this year, a copy of the answer sheets will be provided to the students to assess their performance. In case of discrepancies, the regional office will take note of and sort out the issues.

Not satisfied with the assurance, students and parents continued their protest in front of the regional office. Meanwhile, a group of Kinnars (transgenders) also joined the agitating students.

The agitating students and parents had met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday and sought his intervention in the matter. Chief Minister had written to the HRD Ministry to take up the issue.
