Bhubaneswar: The Culture Department of Odisha Government has provided an assistance of Rs 1 lakh to actor Minaketan, who is battling for life at Mumbai’s Asian Cancer Institute. The cheque was handed over to Minaketan’s wife Kanchanbala today.
Minaketan, who is suffering from pancreatic cancer, was initially treated at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after he complained of body pain.
The ultrasound and endoscopy confirmed excessive sodium erosion from his body. Later, cancer was detected in his body, forcing his family members to shift him to Mumbai.
