Bhubaneswar, Apr 05: Rubbishing senior BJP leader and Union Minister Jual Oram’s revelation on alleged rift within the ruling BJD and some BJD veterans showing interest to join BJP, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, the Union Minister is indulging in unrealistic assumptions.
“He (Oram) is indulging in wishful thinking,” said the Chief Minister while replying to media persons here today.
Asked about any probability of a Bihar-like alliance owing to the saffron surge in rural polls in the state, Patnaik said, “The general elections are far away and it is too early to take any such decision.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Oram had claimed that the saffron party never tried to divide any party; rather other parties have internal conflicts. Besides, leaders cutting across party lines including some BJD MPs, MLAs and senior leaders are in constant touch with the BJP leadership and are contemplating to join it.
