Naveen inaugurates JSPL Steel PlantAngul: odisha CM Naveen Patnaik dedicated the 6 MTPA integrated steel plant at JSPL to the nation today, marking a giant step towards steel production as well as employment generation.

The Steel Plant built at a cost of of about Rs 33,000 crore, would provide direct employment to 30,000 people and indirect employment to many others.

The steel plant has India’s largest blast furnace, which was commissioned today. JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal was present at the occasion.

The new plant has made Odisha the fourth largest steel maker in the country. JSPL had signed an MoU with the Odisha Govt in 2005 for this metal steel plant.
