Bhubaneswar:Leader of Opposition Narasingh Mishra has trained his guns on the State Government for its’PC Culture Directive,’ saying it should first implement the Odisha Lokayuta Act instead.
In a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Mishra said the ‘abolish PC directive in Government offices is a mere political slogan.’
“Your move to abolish PC in government offices will be welcomed if you are really serious in the matter. To convince the people that you are really serious, you should take immediate steps for enforcing the Odisha Lokayuta Act, which has already received the assent of President of India and is awaiting Government notification for implementation of the law. I hope you will take immediate steps for the appointment of Lokayukta, who can deal with corruption matters, including PC,” the letter read.
