CM lays Foundation Stone for Short Stay Homes For Labourers

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of the Labour Day, laid foundation stones for three short stay homes for the labourers in Bhubaneswar on Monday.

Patnaik laid the foundation stones for the short stay homes in the presence of Urban Development Minister, Bhubaneswar MLAs, BMC Mayor, BMC Commissioner and others.

One of the short stay homes will be constructed at Kharvel Nagar in partnership of Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board and Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited.

Similarly, the Rural Development department of the state government in association with the Construction Workers Welfare Board will build 200-bedded shelter homes for the workers in Chandrasekharpur and Shampur of the capital city.

Many facilities will be made available for the workers in the centres including the water ATM and Aahar centres, said sources.

The shelter homes would be erected with a cost of Rs 5.40 crore.
