Bhubaneswar: At least seven parlours and hotels/guest houses in twin city Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, have been sealed by the Commissionerate Police for one year for using their premises for flesh trade.
Out of the seven properties, six are in Bhubaneswar, while one is in Ranihat Chhak, Cuttack.
The six places sealed in Bhubaneswar were Hotel Nirmal Palace (Ashok Nagar), Hotel Jannat Palace (Bapuji Nagar), Maitri Guest House (Chandrasekharpur), Khusubu Beauty Parlour (Cuttack Road, Laxmisagar), One Star Beauty Parlour (Old Station Bazar, Laxmisagar) and a House at Plot No. 5016/F in Brundaban Enclave (VSS Nagar)..
In Cuttack, a house at Ranihat Chhak in Mangalabag area, was sealed by the police.
All the above properties were found involved in immoral activities between February and May 2017. Several people were also taken into custody and cases were filed against them.
