11 places in Odisha record above 40 degrees C temperature

Intense heat wave continues to sweep the state with as many as 11 places recording temperature above 40 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

According to the reports received from the regional Meteorological department, Titilagarh was the hottest place of the day with 43.6 degrees Celsius.

Bolangir stood on the second position with 43.5, followed by Talcher and Bhawanipatna with 43.5 and 43.2 degrees Celsius temperature.

The other places that witnessed mercury above 40 degrees Celsius are Malkangiri (42.2), Jharsuguda (42), Angul (41.7), Sonepur (41.2), Sambalpur (41) and Hirakud (41) and Phulbani (40.4).
