Xiaomi To Launch Redmi K40 On February 25, See Price And Specs

Chinese mobile manufacturing company Xiaomi has unveiled that its upcoming smartphone Redmi K40 series will be launched in China on February 25, 2021.

The company has promised that the Redmi K40 series will provide a new design and a new experience. However, the company has not revealed any specification details of the phone in its poster.

Earlier, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing shared in twitter that the Redmi K40 will feature the world’s smallest selfie camera hole-punch design. The selfie camera hole is teased to be positioned in the centre towards the top.

The executive officer also is also teased that the phone will come with a flat display, and a great battery life. Redmi K40 is also teased to feature dual stereo speakers.

Redmi K40 specifications (expected): 

Redmi K40 series will feature the most expensive flat display and it will be powered by the Qualcom Snapdragon 888 SoC. However, some reports suggested that the Redmi K40 series could have three different SoC options, including the Snapdragon 870 and MediaTek Dimensity 1200.

The phone was rumoured to come with a great battery that is bigger than a 4,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The Redmi K40 phone are also expected to arrive with stereo speakers.

As for camera setup, the phone is tipped to come with a 108-megapixel primary camera on at least one of the Redmi K40 models.

The K40 Pro could be launched at a starting price of 2,999 Yuan (around Rs 33,897) in the Chinese market.

Reportedly, the Redmi K40 series is going to be launched in three models that is vanilla K40, K40S and K40 Pro. All three is expected to have 5G networks support.

The K40 may ship without a charger, as per the retail box images of the phone that were shared by the company last month.
