Xiaomi 12 Ultra specifications leaked; Tipped to feature a 50-Megapixel main camera

Xiaomi is reportedly planning to introduce a new high-end smartphones series soon. The next series is said to be Xiaomi 12 and it could include three variants- Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Ultra, and another Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition.

Many leaks have surfaced regarding the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones. Now, a new leak has tipped the camera specifications of the upcoming high-end Android smartphone Xiaomi 12 Ultra. The leak has suggested that the Mi 11 Ultra successor will feature a quad rear camera setup including a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone is also tipped to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (or Snapdragon 898) chipset.

Though, the company has not revealed any of the specification details of the phone yet, the leak report has suggested that the company will bring not one but two devices – a standard Xiaomi 12 Ultra and another Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition.

While details of the Xiaomi 12 were first leaked back in August. A report by website Xiaomiui have also hinted that the company could be working on two new devices, codenamed Loki and Thor respectively.

According to reports, both the smartphones could both be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (or Snapdragon 898) SoC that is expected to power most flagship devices in 2022.

The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is tipped to be feature a quad rear camera setup that will be headlined by a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 sensor. The other cameras could include a 48-megapixel camera with a 2x zoom, a 48-megapixel camera with a 5x zoom, and a 48-megapixel camera with a 10x zoom.

Where as its predecessor, Mi 11 Ultra is equipped with a triple camera sensor including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, with a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens.

The report suggested that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra could be launched as a China-exclusive device and may arrive in the second quarter of 2022. However, Xiaomi has not made any announcement regarding the device and has not revealed any details about their specifications yet.
