The smartphone market is buzzing with rumours and leaks about the upcoming iPhone of Apple, but the current users of iPhone 13 is facing problems with by a bizarre audio problem.

As per reports of 9to5Mac, Apple has also confirmed that users of iPhone 13 models are being affected by a noise cancellation problem.

According to reports, the iPhone 13 model owners have reported that the noise cancellation feature for phone calls is absent in their devices. This feature is available in previous models like iPhone 12.

Users have been facing this problem for quite some time and Apple is yet to provide a fix for the problem, revealed the report.

The problem was known publicly after a Reddit thread went viral. A Reddit user first raised a complaint about the missing noise cancellation option on the iPhone 13 models a few days back. The claim was then backed by several other users.

The feature allows users to turn on or off noise cancellation for a phone calls. The feature can be found in Accessibility -> Audio/Visual.

However, the iPhone 13 doesn’t have the feature and the users are wondering why.

The reddit poster said, “iPhone 12 lineup and lower have a front mic that is used for noise cancellation. The setting can be found in Accessibility -> Audio/Visual. iPhone 13 doesn’t have it. No noise cancellation at all.”

“It’s a PHONE! Making phone calls is THE basic function. At first, I thought my device was faulty, but it seems like Apple removed this feature on purpose for whatever reason. Tried multiple other phones in an Apple store. Even the Genius Bar employee was surprised. He wasn’t aware the noise cancellation feature was gone on iPhone 13, ” explained the Reddit poster.

Apple has confirmed that Apple engineers are working on it. But, the company did not mention whether it’s a software or a hardware issue yet.

“Apple support confirmed that Apple engineers are working on it. Though, they couldn’t tell yet whether it’s a software or a hardware issue,” added the poster.

“Currently no ETA.” Others replying to the post also confirmed that Apple Support is acknowledging the issue to them.

Apple iPhone 13 users can check if their phone have the Phone Noise Cancellation feature on iPhone 13 by navigating to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual. Whereas earlier iPhone 12  models have a ‘Phone Noise Cancellation’ option available between ‘Mono Audio’ and ‘Headphone Notifications.
