Meta-owned Instant messaging app, WhatsApp is working on a new photo editing tool for its Android users. The app has also added new and redesigned chat bubbles for the desktop app. WhatsApp is also reportedly working on a new feature for message replies that will allow users to reply to messages with only an emoji.

WABetaInfo has discovered two new drawing tools in the latest Android beta. According to WhatsApp feature tracker, the drawing tool will be an extension of the pencil tool that is currently available for users in the app. The sketching tool will allow users to draw on images and videos.

With the new update, the app will provide two new pencils to its photo editing feature to let users draw on photos and videos. The icons indicate that the new pencils could offer broader tips, allowing users to draw or scribble thicker lines on images or videos.

Let us tell you that WhatsApp currently has a single pencil tool that lets users doodle or scribble on photographs, but it does not allow users to increase or decrease the thickness of the pencil.

with the new functionality, users will have two pencil options to increase or decrease the thickness of the pencil.

As per reports, the messaging app is also working on a new blur image feature, which could be included in a future update. With this feature, users can blur out the sensitive parts before sharing screenshots and photos with friends.

Some other drawing tools are also reportedly under development, but there’s no information on them yet.

The features are reportedly being tested in WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.22.3.5. There is no clear information on when these new tools will be available to all users.

The report further added that WhatsApp beta for Desktop 2.2201.2.0 will offer a new colour to the instant messaging app’s Windows and macOS versions.

Apart from this, WhatsApp is also planning to add new features and tools for its users. The new features are expected to be Message reactions, a Community feature, profile photo in the notification (iOS), listening to voice notes in the background, and many more.
