WhatsApp’s much anticipated new feature multi-device support is being rolled out for both the Android and iOS users. The new multi-device support feature will allow them to send and receive WhatsApp messages on secondary devices even if the primary device does not have any internet connection.

This feature of WhatsApp will allow users to stay connected on up to four devices simultaneously to send and receive messages on the app even when their phones are not connected to the Internet. The multi-device support feature was first introduced in July after a series of internal testing. WhatsApp users can connect their instant messaging account to a desktop, laptop, or Facebook Portal using the multi-device support feature even if they are not in the proximity of their phones.

WhatsApp protects the chats with end-to-end encryption on a secondary device that no third party read the messages you send or receive on your connected PC. Even WhatsApp can’t read the messages.

Now, users don’t need to worry about staying connected to WhatsApp if their phone runs out of charge.

The feature is currently in beta and is limited to WhatsApp Web, Desktop, and Portal. The users may face some stability issues for the time being as it is in beta. Note that, WhatsApp doeas not support the linking of Android phone or an iPhone as a secondary device yet. You can also not connect your WhatsApp account using multi-device support to an Android tablet or iPad at this moment.
