The starred feature that is present on the platform will enable users to bookmark any conversation of their choice. However, many persons are not aware of this feature. The bookmark feature on WhatsApp is known as starred feature. The simple process to bookmarking conversations can be made by following the steps mentioned below.

How to bookmark a conversation

  • Open WhatsApp on your smartphone
  • Scroll down through numerous conversations
  • Choose the contact whose conversation you would like to bookmark
  • Long press a conversation (till it turns blue)
  • A star option will appear at the top of screen
  • Click the star icon
  • You can observe that the particular conversation will now have a star mark on it (it is now starred)

How to open a starred message

  • Open WhatsApp on your smartphone
  • Click on the three dots on the top right corner
  • Click on the starred messages option
  • The list of the starred conversations will appear
  • Click on a particular chat to open it

How to unstar a message

  • Tap on the message starred message
  • Long press a conversation (till it turns blue)
  • A unstar option will appear at the top of screen
  • Click the unstar icon
