WhatsApp tips and tricks: Here’s how you can convert your photo into a WhatsApp sticker

Meta-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp has many fun features for its users to keep them entertained during a chat. WhatsApp lets users share stickers with friends and family to make communication more interesting and fun.

WhatsApp recently introduced a new feature called ‘Sticker Maker’ for its Web users that allows them to create personalised stickers on the desktop.

So, if you are a frequent user of whatsApp web app then this feature will be helpful for you.

The users can convert any photo into WhatsApp stickers using the Sticker Maker. So, now you don’t need to depend on third party apps to do this.

The new stickers feature can create custom stickers with easy steps and users can easily and download it if you want.

Note that the newly-launched feature does not turn your image into a caricature but compresses the file into a low-res sticker.

You can find the Sticker Maker feature in the latest version of WhatsApp.

Here’s how you can convert your photo into a WhatsApp sticker

If you want to convert an image to a sticker then follow the steps bellow.

But before that note that your WhatsApp should be updated to the latest version and you must also save the images that you want to convert into stickers on your desktop/pc.

Step 1: First open your WhatsApp web on a desktop and go to the chat window of the person you want to send the sticker.

Step 2: Tap on Attachments and select the Stickers option.

Step 3: A new file explorer window will be opened.

Step 4: Now, select an image that you wish to convert into a WhatsApp sticker.

Step 5: You can add text, adjust the corners, crop the image, and add emojis and make other changes to the stickers.

Step 6: After the sticker is ready, tap on Send Arrow.

This feature is not available for WhatsApp app for Android and iOS phones yet. You can access this feature only in WhatsApp web.

Forwarding stickers on WhatsApp

WhatsApp has also created a new shortcut option that will let users forward a sticker without saving it. You do not need to save or view the message option to forward the sticker on WhatsApp with this new feature. According to reports, the feature will be available for beta testers and on the latest WhatsApp for Android (2.21.23.25 update).
