WhatsApp to Introduce Dark Mode Feature

New Delhi: Dark mode to be introduced on the instant messaging platform,  WhatsApp.

Recently a photo with the dark mode of WhatsApp has been spotted online.  Though it is only for the iPhone OS, sources say the company is also testing it for Android smartphones.

To quote Mashable (a website that tracks technological developments), “iOS 13 will support WhatsApp in dark mode. In the new mode the screen will be black with the letters appearing in white.

The website also says that since there are a bit of snags the change is yet to be introduced in the public forum.

The icon will appear in grey and blue. The company is yet to announce its date of roll out. The report says, there is a bug named Dark Bubble due to which the app crashes.

Reports say that the app will have a feature of automatically switching to dark mode if one is using it in low light conditions.

This change is a successor to the recent development in Whatsapp which required prior permission before adding someone to a group.
