Social messaging app WhatsApp is currently working on a Community group chat event duration feature and it will be introducing the same for Android users very soon. The information on this development was made by WABetaInfo. It said that WhatsApp has started testing the Community group chat event duration feature on beta version 2.24.17.11. of Android.
For those who are unknown, WhatsApp has introduced the Events feature for Communities in May. It was rolled for group chats for beta users on Android in June. Similarly, WhatsApp started testing Community group events on its Android beta app.
This feature on WhatsApp will enable community group members to create events with specific starts and end timing. They will also be able to add a location and a WhatsApp call link to them.
The feature will help the Communities where multiple events are needed to be scheduled. We do not know for sure when WhatsApp will be rolling the update for its worldwide users. However, if you are tired of waiting for the new feature rollout just sign up for the beta program of WhatsApp and give it a try.
