Vodafone Idea hikes its prepaid plans, Minimum plan costs Rs 99 while premium plan costs Rs 2899

After the implementation of price hike of tariff plans by Airtel, another telecom operator has hiked its tariff plans in India. Vodafone India has hiked the rates for pre-paid mobile services in India. The new rates for the mobile services will be applicable from November 25. While some plans have gone through a minimum hike of Rs 20, there are some plans which have been hiked by Rs 500.

According to Vodafone Idea (Vi) the change in price of plans will increase average revenue per user (ARPU). This will help to improve the financial stress faced by the company. After the price hike, the most premium Vodafone Idea Rs 2399 plan will cost Rs 2899. The facilities provided by the plan to the buyers remain same. The plan will provide 1.5GB of daily data, 100 daily SMS, unlimited calling for a time period of 365 days.

Some of the other popular plans that get a price hike are Rs 1499 plan, Rs 449 plan, Rs 399 plan, Rs 699 plan, Rs 599 plan etc. The Rs 1499 plan will now cost Rs 1799 for its users. The users can avail benefits such as 24GB data, 2600 SMS, unlimited calling along with a validity of 365 days. The Rs 699 will now cost Rs 839. It will provide 2GB daily data, 84 days validity, 100 SMS per day, unlimited calling etc. Similarly, the Rs 599 plan will now cost Rs 719. It offers users with 1.5GB data, 84 days validity, 100 SMS daily and unlimited calling.

The Rs 449 and Rs 399 plans which have a validity of 56 days will now cost Rs 539 and Rs 479 respectively. The Rs 449 plan offers 2GB daily data along with unlimited calling and 100 SMS/ day. Rs 399 plan offers benefits like 1.5GB daily data, unlimited calling, 100 SMS/day etc.

Users should keep this in mind that even data top ups also get a significant price hike. Plans like Rs 48, Rs 98, Rs 251 and Rs 351 also get a price hike. The new prices for the plans are Rs 58, Rs 118, Rs 298 and Rs 418 respectively.
