Truecaller Introduces “Truecaller Voice” to make Voice Calls

New Delhi: Truecaller has introduced a new voice calling feature named “Truecaller Voice”. The voice over internet protocol (VoIP) feature allows users to make calls free of cost by using Wi-Fi or mobile internet connectivity.

In an official statement, the company also claimed that the in-app feature will allow users to make free, high quality (HD), low latency and quick to connect audio calls. The shortcut of Truecaller Voice has been strategically integrated within the app at the relevant touch points such as call logs, SMS Inbox, contact profile and after call screen.

The launch of the in-app feature is aimed to provide full-fledged communication to the 140 million global daily active users of the app. Truecaller has already started the rollout of this new VoIP based feature in a phased manner to its Android users from June 10 and will soon release this feature of iOS users in a few weeks.

Initially, the feature was thought to be limited only for the premium subscribers of the app but later it was decided to be made available to all the users of the app. Soon the feature will be arriving in the app and it does not need any Truecaller Premium Gold or Premium subscription.

“We have been working towards building a full communication suite for our users and voice calling is the next big step in line with this mission,” said Rishit Jhunjhunwala, VP Product, Truecaller, in a statement.

“Through this integration, we are looking forward to effectively provide an end-to-end communication experience, where users can call, text, chat, filter messages, block spam and even make digital payments, all in one app” he added.
