Titan Eye+unveils its first Smart Glasses with open-ear speakers, touch controls in India; Price, specs


Titan Eye Plus’s first set of smart glasses in India earlier this week. The smart glasses are dubbed as Titan EyeX and features open-ear speakers, touch controls, along with fitness tracking systems and more. The open-ear speakers also provide voice-based navigation and feature voice notifications. Titan’s new smart glasses is dust and water resistance thanks to its IP54-rated build.

The Titan EyeX features Bluetooth v5 and it is compatible with Android and iOS devices. The smart glasses’ battery can last upto 8 hours on a single charge.

Titan EyeX price in India, availability

Titan Eye Plus’s first set of smart glasses was unveiled in India on January 5 priced at Rs 9,999. However, its only the price of the frame. If you add in lens and other cost of a prescription glasses, the price goes up to Rs 11,198. Titan EyeX was launched in a single Black frame colour option.

The website mentions that the smart glasses will start shipping from January 10. Interested customers can buy it at the official website or through Titan Eye+ retail stores.

Titan EyeXis compatible with both Android and iOS-powered devices and has Bluetooth v5 for connection. The smart glasses are powered by an unspecified Qualcomm processor. The glasses also get a companion app for both the OS.

Titan’s smart glasses come with open-ear speakers with true wireless stereo (TWS) functionality. With this, user can hear music outdoors while still being aware of the surroundings, said the company. The smart glasses has touch-based controls for play, skip, pause, and prevent.

It also features voice-based navigation and voice-based notifications through its open-ear speakers. The smart glasses has Clear Voice Capture (CVC) technology that helps to deliver clear voice quality with dynamic volume control. This helps the glasses to automatically adjusts the volume levels based on the ambient noise.

Titan EyeX also features fitness tracking system which can count calories, steps, and distance using the inbuilt pedometer. Titan EyeX can also warn users if their screen times have increased to help them stay healthier.

Titan has also packed a inbuilt tracker in the EyeX to help users locate the glasses. The battery can last up to eight hours on a single charge. The smart glasses measure 124x140x40mm.
