Tecno Pova 5G smartphone with 6000 mAh battery, 120Hz refresh rate to launch soon in India
Budget Android smartphone maker Tecno will be launching its next smartphone-Tecno Pova 5G in India. The launch will be on February 8, 2022, said Techno Mobile India on its official Twitter account. For those who are unknown, the Tecno Pova 5G was launched in Nigeria as the company’s first 5G smartphone. The distinguishing feature of the Tecno Pova 5G is that it offers a refresh rate of 120Hz refresh rate display, 6,000mAh battery, and 50 MP triple rear camera setup.
Tecno Pova 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset and has a hole-punch design .The handset is expected to have a RAM up to 11 GB with Memory Fusion + LPDDR5 RAM.

Tecno Pova 5G launched in Nigeria priced at NGN 129,000 (around Rs 23,100) for the single 8GB + 128GB storage variant. The phone will be available for purchase in multiple colour options — Dazzle Black, Polar Silver, and Power Blue. We expect the same RAM+ Storage configuration of the smartphone when it is launched in India.
Tecno Pova 4G was launched in India in November 2021 in Dazzle Black, Magic Blue, and Speed Purple colour options with a price tag of Rs 9,999 for the 4GB + 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB + 128GB storage option is priced at Rs 11,999.
Tecno Pova 5G specifications
Tecno Pova 5G runs on Android 11-based HiOS 8.0. Tecno’s first 5G offering is said to feature a 6.95-inch HD+ display with 1080×2460 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. As mentioned, the device is said to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC under the hood, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.
For photos and videos, the device is flaunting a triple rear camera system along with a dual-LED flash. The camera set up includes a 50-megapixel primary camera, 2-megapixel secondary sensor and an AI lens. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with dual-LED flash.
Tecno Pova 5G, packs a 6,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging support. For authentication purposes, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
