Subscribers Can Now Rent Films For 48 Hours On Vi Movies And TV App

Vodafone Idea (Vi) on Monday has launched its premium video on demand (PVOD) services with the Vi Movies and TV app. With this new application, Vi subscribers will be able to rent a movie for 48 hours.

For this the telcos company has signed a partnership with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment.

Now the Vi subscribers can get access to over 380 movie titles under the pay-per-view model on smartphones. The new model will only allow users to rent the newest premium movies. One time purchases are not available as of now.

The Vi Movies and TV app also comes with the option to cast movies to a large screen with which Vi customers can watch their favorite movies on their TVs.

The new PVoD service will enable Vi customers to get access to latest blockbusters SCOOB and Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, which will be available in three Indian languages, namely Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

How much will be the rental cost?

The latest blockbuster movies of 2020 like Tenet will be available at Rs 120 for 48 hours and the other movies will be available at Rs 60.

The subscribers can rent the movie and watch it within 48 hours only.

Currently, the Vi users can watch the entertainment content on the Vi Movies and TV app for free of cost as as per the recharge packs or postpaid plans of the Vi user..

Along with the paid movies, the app will still continue to give access to live TV shows and other original content. The Vi movies and TV app allows users to get access to over 9,500 movies in 13 different languages, over 300 live TV channels, original web series and International TV Shows.
