Samsung unveils Notebook 7, Notebook 7 Force Laptops

New Delhi: Samsung on Monday launched two new laptops named Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force. Both of these are the latest addition to the Samsung Notebook 7 lineup which sees an annual refresh. These have been unveiled in 13-inch and 15-inch display size options with a design reportedly resembling Apple MacBook Pro.

Samsung says the laptops will first start shipping in South Korea and Hong Kong, followed by the US and Brazil.

Samsung’s new Notebook 7 laptop will be available in both 13-inch and 15-inch full-HD display options. The laptop resembles Apple’s MacBook Pro 13-inch in a number of ways. It features diamond-cut edges and a near bezel-less display. Notebook 7 (15-inch) comes with an additional SSD slot so you can add extra storage later on.

Both models of the Notebook 7 laptop are powered by the 8th generation Intel Core processors with up to 16GB RAM. The storage options will be available up to 512GB SSD (NVMe). The laptops also come with support for Gigabit Wi-Fi.

Notebook 7 laptops pack stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. In terms of ports, the new Samsung laptops will include a single USB Type-C, two USB 3.0, one microSD card slot, and a single HDMI port. They’ll run Windows 10 out-of-the-box.

In terms of the pricing, the Samsung Notebook 7 will be available with prices starting at $999 in the US. It’ll be sold on Amazon and Samsung’s online store from July 26.

Samsung Notebook 7 Force Specifications:

Samsung Notebook 7 Force laptops come in only 15-inch display size and feature Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, promising up to 70 per cent faster speeds than the last-generation GTX card. Notebook 7 Force laptops also include a variety of ports including USB Type-C, USB 3.0, HDMI 2.0, and a microSD card reader.

Samsung’s Notebook 7 Force laptops are powered by the 8th generation Intel Core processors with up to 24GB RAM. In terms of storage, the laptops will be available with SSDs up to 512GB with expandable slots for adding more SSDs in the future. Both Notebook 7 and Notebook 7 Force laptops come with a wider touchpad, much like the MacBook Pro notebooks.

The Notebook 7 Force is priced at $1,499 and will be available later this year in the US and China initially.
