Samsung rolls out One UI 4.0 beta 2 update with RAM Plus, Material You themes and more

Korean tech giant Samsung has rolled out another beta version of One UI 4.0 with some important improvements and fixes. Samsung is reportedly working on fixing all bugs in Android 12-based firmware before the release of its stable update.

The new One UI 4.0 beta 2 update has brought new features, performance improvements and fixes to some flaws. Samsung has added a new RAM Plus feature with the update that will help users to add up to 4 GB of virtual RAM to their phone. Reports have suggested that Samsung may extend this feature to other phones as well.

Another major update in the new One UI 4.0 is the new ‘Material You’ color themes which allows users to generate color theme from the wallpaper of the phone. It lets you choose a theme based on the colors of your wallpaper. Google has introduced the ‘Material You’ as a new design language with Android 12.

The changelog has also listed some other improvements including a microphone mode for video calls that will help to boost your voice in a noisy environment and has improved the accuracy of the Samsung Keyboard.

The One UI 4.0 beta 2 update brings some security related fix to resolve the issue that occurs while closing the Secure Folder.

The update contains other improvements too, but they are not listed in the changelog yet, reported Gsmarena.

The update has a build version ZUJ1 and is likely to be available to beta users in India, South Korea, China, Germany, Poland, US and UK.

The One UI 4.0 beta 2 is compatible with Galaxy S21, S21+ or S21 Ultra smartphones. So the users in the above mentioned countries can try to download it from today.

The users who have signed in as a beta tester should see a notification for the new update. If you have not received the notification yet then you can also check it manually in the Settings menu. You can sign up as a beta tester through the Samsung Members app.
