Registrations For Jio GigaFiber Open Now

New Delhi: Registrations for Jio GigaFiber, the high-speed broadband service by Reliance Jio, has officially kickstarted. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani had announced Jio GigaFiber last month and stated that it will be launched in 1,100 cities across the country. However, no date for the official rollout has been announced yet. Interestingly, Jio’s ambitious broadband service had been in testing since the past couple of years before being announced.

Users can now register their interest for the Jio broadband service and the company will give priority to areas having highest interest for the rollout. To register for Jio GigaFiber, users need to go to GigaFiber page on the Jio’s official website. After this, one needs to enter his address by pressing the Change button and then hit the Submit button. Following this, the screen will still show the user’s default address. Then the user needs to select whether the address entered is home or work address.

On the next page, the user needs to enter details like name and phone number and hit the Generate OTP button. After entering the OTP, the user will have to select the type of locality viz. society, township, developer, etc and lastly click on ‘Submit’.

By completing the aforesaid procedure, a user will successfully register for Jio GigaFiber in his area. Furthermore, one can nominate other areas for the Jio broadband service, like parents’ address, work address, etc. The registration for Jio GigaFiber is absolutely free.

Notably, Jio GigaFiber aims to provide wall-to-wall high-speed Wi-Fi coverage. For this, the company will install a Jio GigaRouter at your home or office. Users will be able to stream 4K videos and play VR games on the network. The broadband network will enhance the TV experience and for large screen TVs, the company plans to install the GigaTV set-top box besides providing a voice-activated remote to users. Consumers will be able to watch 600+ TV channels, thousands of movies, millions of songs, and any other type of content possible. Viewers will also be able to access other features JioTV, JioCinema, JioTVCall, JioSmartLiving, JioNetVelocity, JioCloud, MediaShare, and JioStore on their TV screens.
