Redmi K40 Series Teased To Come With Snapdragon 888 SoC, 300+Hz Touch Sampling Rate

Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi K40 in China today and it is expected to have two smartphones – Redmi K40 Pro and the Redmi K40 smartphones.  The phone is teased to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.

A slew of new teasers of the Redmi K40 series was shared by Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing on his Weibo page. The teasers indicate that the phone will have a 120Hz refresh rate and will be feature the Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Xiaomi is also tipped to launch a slew of gaming accessories along with the Redmi K40 series.

Redmi K40 series Price and launch event details:

Redmi K40 serie is expected to launch at a starting price of CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 33,600) which will be the same price as the Redmi K30 pro launched in March 2020. The Redmi K40 series livestream event will start at 7.30pm local time (5pm IST).

As per earlier leaks, the Redmi K40 series is expected to feature the new display technology E4 AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and with 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution. The new display technology will offer an enhanced viewing experience.

The Redmi K40 series will be powered by Snapdragon 888 SoC and is expected to come in 8GB and 128GB storage plus 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variants.

The teaser also revealed that the Redmi K40 will feature a flat display design with a very small hole-punch design for the selfie camera.

As per camera concern, the phone is teased to have a triple rear camera setup on the back.

The teasers posted by the company also revealed that the phone will have dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound.

The Redmi K40 series is teased to be powered by a 4,520mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.

The Redmi K40 series is expected to have both 5G and 4G connection.
