Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has launched Redmi 10A and Redmi 10 Power in India as the company’s latest affordable offering at a launch event on Wednesday. The new Redmi phones have been launched as the successor to the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 Power. The Redmi 10A is powered by the MediaTek Helio G25 SoC and has a single 13-megapixel rear camera. The phone features up to 64GB of internal storage. The Redmi 10A competes against the likes of the Tecno Pova Neo, Realme C11 (2021), and Samsung Galaxy M02.

Redmi 10 Power features a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup and is powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC under the hood, paired with 8GB of RAM. the device also has a large 6,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging — but ships with a 10W charger in the box.

Redmi 10A, Redmi 10 Power  price in India, availability

Redmi 10A price in India is set at Rs 8,499 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant while the 4GB + 64GB option is priced Rs 9,499. The Redmi 10A will be sold in Charcoal Black, Sea Blue, and Slate Grey colour options in the country through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi’s retail partners from April 26 at 12 noon. The device’s textured rear panel will remain smudge-free.

Redmi 10 Power, on the other hand, has a cost of Rs 14,999 for the sole 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant in India. The phone will be available in Power Black and Sporty Orange colour options and will be sold via on Mi.com, Mi Home, Amazon, and retail partners, according to the company. However, the company has not revealed the sale date of the smartphone yet.

Redmi 10A specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 10A features a 6.53-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop-style notch. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 SoC, and has up to 4GB of RAM. It runs on Android-based MIUI 12.5.

The device sports a single 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash. The Redmi 10A sports a 5-megapixel camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.2 lens, for selfies and video chats.

The Redmi 10A comes with up to 64GB of storage that supports expansion using a microSD card (up to 512MB) via a dedicated slot.

Connectivity options of the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, and GPS/ A-GPS. This phone also has a Micro-USB port, a fingerprint sensor as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Redmi 10A packs a 5,000mAh battery, and it comes bundled with a 10W charger. The phone measures 164.9×77.07x9mm and weighs 194g.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 10 Power features a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with 400 nits of peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on Android 11 with MIUI 13 on top.

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, along with Adreno 610 GPU and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The company says that users can also virtually expand available RAM by utilising up to 3GB of inbuilt storage by up to 3GB.

The Redmi 10 Power sports a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture lens and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor with an f/2.4 aperture lens. The phone has a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front with an f/2.0 aperture lens.

The smartphone comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 inbuilt storage that is expandable (up to 512GB) via a dedicated microSD card slot. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

The Redmi 10 Power is backed by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. The company has also revealed that it will come bundled with a slower 10W charger in the box. It measures 169.59×76.56×9.13mm and weighs 203 grams.
