Realme GT Neo 3 launched with industry-first 150W fast charging support, Price starts around Rs 24,000

Realme on Tuesday launched the GT Neo 3 as the latest gaming-focused handset in China. Realme GT Neo 3 is the first smartphone to have the 150W UltraDart fast charging support. The latest gaming phone from Relame comes with the a 120Hz refresh rate display.

Furthermore, the Realme GT Neo 3 comes in three storage variants. The variants comes in two battery capacities and fast charging support such as a 4,500mAh battery with 150W fast charging and the other is a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

This could be a good device for gaming enthusiasts with its MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G SoC and ‘Diamond Ice Core Cooling Plus’ feature that brings a total heat dissipation area of 39,606mm square as well as a 4,129mm square 3D tempered vapour chamber (VC) cooling area for thermal management.

The handset sports a triple rear camera unit headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor.

Realme GT Neo 3 price, availability

Realme GT Neo 3 price in China has been set at CNY 1,999 (approx Rs 24,000) for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and the other 8GB + 256GB variant cost is at CNY 2,299 (approx Rs 27,500). The gaming phone also comes in a top-of-the-line 12GB + 256GB model that is priced at CNY 2,599 (approx Rs 31,200).

Realme GT Neo 3’s 150W variant, on the other hand, carries a price tag of CNY 2,599 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 2,799 (approx Rs 33,600). The handset will be available in three colour options–Cyclonus Black, Silverstone and Le Mans (translated).

All variants of Realme GT Neo 3 is set to go on sale in the Chinese market starting March 30. Realme is yet to announce the launch and availability of the Realme GT Neo 3 in other markets including India.

Realme launched the GT Neo 2 in India in October last year at a price of Rs 31,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and Rs 35,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model.

Realme GT Neo 3 specifications

The Realme GT Neo 3 features a 6.7-inch 2K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,000Hz touch sampling rate. The display also has HDR10+ and DC dimming support. It runs on Android 11 with Realme UI 3.0 on top.

Under the hood, Realme GT Neo 3 has the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G SoC, along with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Talking about its camera specs, the Realme GT Neo 3 sports a triple rear camera system along with a LED flash. The rectangular camera module houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119-degree field of view and a macro shooter. The primary camera supports optical image stabilisation (OIS) and electronic image stabilisation (EIS).

The handset packs a 4,500mAh battery on Realme GT Neo 3 with 150W UltraDart Charging support and a 5,000mAh battery for the variant with 80W fast charging support. As per the company, the 150W fast charging technology is claimed to fill up 50 percent of the battery with just a 5-minute charge and the 80W super fast charging is said to fully charge the device in 32-minutes.

Other features on the new smartphone include dual-SIM support, 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port.

Realme GT Neo 3 also has speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, a 4D Game Vibration feature with the support of the X-axis linear motor. The handset weighs 188 grams.

    Beware of Realme.
    Realme GT Neo 2 supports only 70Hz refresh rate during gaming when the screen supports 120Hz refresh rate. This is not mentioned explicitly. So, they might do the same gimmick in Realme GT neo 3.
